Today being the first day back to school for their friends has the boys with mixed feelings. They are sad that their playtime is about to be cut short, but glad they aren't in school! lol! We spent part of the day at camp with Katie, cleaning cabins. It was another hot day so we took the swimsuits and the boys had a splash in the pond when we were finished with the cabins. Actually, the cabins were the best I have ever seen them at the end of a week of camp! Not much in the way of tidying needed so we mostly put the mattresses flat, ready for winter, cleared out any items left behind and did a little bit of vacuuming here and there. Nothing major at all.

That thrilled the boys because they were eager to hit the water. Nicholas did a fair bit of swimming while Andrew and Matthew were busy catching frogs again. Poor frogs. They must have been thinking after second week of camp was done that they were free from being chased around the weeds. Not so! I managed to get some nice photos of some of them. There are several different species around the pond. A couple of years ago we had done a survey to find out what kinds of frogs there were around camp. We watched for frog eggs, listened for their croaking, and of course, watched for actual jumping frogs. It was really cool. I came across the identification pages a couple of weeks ago. I'll have to find them again and see what the kids caught!
