Harvest Day

Saturday was very misty, but that didn't stop around 200 people from coming to camp for the day! The meal put on by the Brantford assembly was delicious and the bake sale and silent auction were hits, too! There was a huge soccer game for the big kids at heart. The little kids enjoyed their games, but I'm pretty sure the favourite was the candy toss...Matthew came over to me with hands full of sugar and a huge grin on his face.

P, visiting from the UK, did the talk before the baptisms and I heard many people saying how much they enjoyed what he had to say. The pond was a bit on the chilly side, judging from the reactions of those having to go into the water for the baptisms, but there were smiles all around. The misty drizzle let up for a while so the time down at the pond was actually quite nice. Four of the baptisms were of young people from the age of 10 to 16. They were added to the Toronto assembly on Sunday morning.
