We're still sick. The kids still have fevers varying from low-grade to high. Sometimes it's completely gone, only to come back within hours. Maddening. They do have some periods of activity through the day, and Matthew even went outside to play for about ten minutes yesterday afternoon, but for the most part they are still on the couches. Appetites are still very small, but they are drinking fairly well. My grocery bill for this week has been at an all-time low! lol! I've been spared the fever so far, but can't stop sneezing and being up in the night with them is really taking its toll on me. Even Adrian's been up at night with the kids and he doesn't normally hear them. So far he's not come down with this. It'll probably wait until tomorrow to hit since it'll be the weekend.
We've been housebound all week, with the exception of the doctor's office on Monday and a quick walk on Wednesday when Matthew and I returned the DVD Adrian rented for the kids.
We also had to make a stop at the bank that day to update Andrew's passbook to see if the newspaper had paid the kids for the month of January. They hadn't.
Thankfully the supervisor for the newspaper carriers has finally found somebody to take over the last route the kids had. They had given up this route along with the others in December, but this small route was proving to be difficult to find a replacement for and they continued to deliver the paper through the rest of December and January. There have apparently been a number of changes at the newspaper office and a number of mix-ups regarding who was doing what route which has resulted in the kids not being paid for any deliveries past their original end date. The supervisor has been good getting on it for us, we're just not getting results at the other end. Hopefully it will all be sorted out quickly. I was just so glad we didn't need to go out to deliver newspapers yesterday.
Well, off to check on the boys again.
